Preface

Welcome to the fourth issue of VIEW magazine.

What can I say, it’s been a very busy summer. Since VIEW is not our main job (we wish…), other life events sometimes take precedence, like our day jobs. We try our best to work around life’s obstacles and make a concerted effort to hunt down good photography whenever and wherever we can. And so finally, here we are, with what I think is a beautiful fourth issue.

As we go through the task of finding, selecting and contacting these fine photographers I am constantly amazed by the strength of the visual image and how it can effect us. From the powerful beach scenes by Julio López Saguar through the subtle humor evident in Michael Limbert’s photos and the gentle imagery of Anna Paola Guerra, Toru Ukai and Daniele Pilenga. As in previous issues these photographers come from all across the globe. It’s such an amazing world we live in, and I hope that comes across in these images.

The other day I was listening to music while designing some of the pages you are about to move through and felt as if I was in a beautiful movie. So cue up your favorite music, relax and enjoy this end-of-summer issue.

Happy viewing.
